Quest's Journey of Marketing and Design

My digital marketing and design skills come from hands-on experience, institutional learning, and self-teaching. I started by filming and editing videos for my Youtube channel when I was 15. In addition, I ran a fan-page site based on various TV shows and music groups. During that time, I developed my skills of video production, graphic design, photoshop, and storytelling. Through theatre, I have had the opportunity to take on different roles and responsibilities in social media. For instance, during high school, I learned about the inner-workings of social media and digital marketing as a Social Media Manager for the Maryland State Thespian Festival.
Furthermore, as a Graduate Assistant for Cal Theatre, one of my main responsibilities was social media management and graphic design. During that time, I mastered Canva, improved my social media planning, learned to use and shift material based on SEO data, and practiced delegating to work studies. For about 3 years, I marketed performances/events and collaborated with others.
Recently, I finished a contracted position as a TikTok Content Creator for Carnegie Learning, which gave me the experience of marketing content for a company's new social platform.
In my down time, I like to roller skate, read, hang out with friends, and watch TV with my cat, María. I also like creative activities that keep my brain stimulated: such as up-cycling, digital art, and found object construction. Being creative is my favorite form of expression!
