About

Quest's Journey of Marketing and Design

credit: @kellytunney

I have self taught experience with digital marketing from having my own youtube channel and fan-page site for various television shows and music groups. During that time, I developed my skills of video production, photoshop, and storytelling. Through theatre, I have had the opportunity to take on different roles and responsibilities. For starters, I learned about the inner-workings of social media and digital marketing as a Social Media Assistant as a Maryland State Thespian Officer. During that time, I learned about the best times to post on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, proper caption length, and best hashtags usage. The next year I was promoted to Social Manager!

In addition, as a Work Study and Graduate Assistant for Cal Theatre, one of my responsibilities was social media management and graphic design. During that time, I was introduced to and mastered Canva. For 2-3 years, I worked on social media planning, designed show posters, and crafted graphics for social media to market performances and events. As a Graduate Assistant, due to my increase in duties, I collaborated with another social media manager and delegated projects to work studies. Currently, I work a part time time job as a Contracted Content Creator for Carnegie Learning.

Here's a little bit more about me and my interests! In my down time, I like to roller skate, hike, and watch TV with my cat María. I also like creative activities that keep my brain stimulated: such as thrifting/up-cycling, painting/drawing, and found object construction. Being creative is my favorite forms of expression!
